The purpose of this study is to learn more about the long-term effectiveness of a product used in knee surgery called Affinity™ Membrane. Affinity™ contains hypothermically preserved amniotic membrane. Affinity™ is human tissue from a tissue donor. The tissue used to prepare Affinity™ is obtained from certified tissue recovery organizations and is carefully screened and tested prior to being processed.
Affinity™ is used to help heal cartilage damage. Cartilage is the rubbery tissue found on the ends of your bones in your joints. It can be damaged by an injury or by overuse. When cartilage is damaged it causes pain and limits activities. This study will look at how well Affinity grows with your natural cartilage. It will also measure how well it relieves your pain and improves the function of your knee.
The study will enroll up to 10 male and female subjects, ages 18 to 55 old, from one orthopaeadic clinic in the United States - Dr. Samuel K. Tabet.
Please contact Natalie Munson at 505-724-3201 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like more information about the enrollment process.
